Mindmaply is built to work without collecting personal data. There are no accounts, no cookies, and no analytics. This page explains what happens to your data, in plain language.

Your mind maps stay with you

The editor runs entirely in your browser. Typing in it does not upload anything, and there is no database of your work in progress. When you share a map, the entire map is encoded into the link itself, and the editor also asks our API to store that encoded map under a short id, so the link you paste can be short. Two consequences worth knowing:

Anyone you give a link to can read that map. The link is the document.
Links can end up in the logs of services that handle them (chat apps, link scanners, proxies). Do not put secrets in a map you plan to share.

What we do not collect

No accounts or sign-up. We never ask who you are.
No cookies, and no data stored in your browser by us.
No analytics, ad trackers, or fingerprinting scripts.
We do not sell or share data with data brokers. There is nothing to sell.

Optional server features

Some features use our API (api.mindmaply.app), which runs on Cloudflare Workers: share pages with link previews, SVG and PNG rendering, and AI generation from text, images, or video links you provide. For these, the map source or your input is sent to the API to produce the result, and nothing else.

The API stores a copy of a map only when you share it: the encoded map behind the short link, kept so the link keeps working. Rendering, preview, and AI requests keep no copy; responses are generated from the request, and preview images may be cached by the CDN for the share link they belong to.
Requests can appear in short-lived operational logs (things like IP address, URL, and status code) used for debugging and abuse prevention.
AI generation runs on Cloudflare Workers AI. We do not use your content to train AI models.

Hosting and third parties

The site is served by GitHub Pages through Cloudflare's network, and fonts load from Google Fonts. Like all web infrastructure, these providers see standard request data (such as your IP address) and handle it under their own policies: GitHub, Cloudflare, Google.

Changes

If the product changes in a way that affects your data, this page and its date will be updated. The history is public in the open-source repository.
